I'm writing this to either current residents that may be looking at this, or potential residents, because the leasing office is trying to surpress the crime situtation. Recently notices were posted on all floors about "increased crime activity". The postings were noticeably vague, so I'm about to tell you what is actually going on. There have been a rash of car break-ins, which in and of itself may not seem like alot, but there have been a series of apartment break-ins, and ambush syle robberies, where someone follows you off the elevator like they are going to the same place, and as soon as you pull out your keys to unlock your door, you are ambushed into your apartment where you are subsequently robbed. Residents, be very careful in the parking garages. Ladies, be careful of who you open your door to. Just the other night around 11pm, I had a complete stranger knock on my door. I asked who he was, he kind of mumbled his name. When I said I had no idea who he was, he never said his name again and said he needed to use my phone, sounding like he knew me, the problem is I only know one person in this building, a female. I told him I didn't have a phone, and he walked off without saying anything. I'm not sure what that was all about, but everybody, please be careful. Make sure all your neighbors are aware of the situation because Ann in the leasing office is doing everything to keep people from finding out what's going on.
