Well, I've been living here for 3 months now and this is my story. I've moved from a Post complex (which is one of the best in the city) to 710 in order to save money for a downpayment on a mortgage. -Rent: $750. -Space: 750 square feet. -Outside: Best location in Midtown. On top of Baraonda, next to Fox Theater and MARTA. -Inside lobby: Redone with a modern feel/look. Free coffee, 3 computers with high-speed Web, printer, copier, and concierge. -Facitilies: Laundry (Safe, clean, good size), Gym (small, good for a basic workout), Parking ($65/month on an underground facility. Semi-safe, semi-dirty, never encountered any problems). -Staff: Very friendly. Concierge always helpful and fast. -People: It's a weird combination of old (people that lived there for 20 years), students (loud and young), and thugs (never had a problem but they really bring down the feel of safety in the building). -Noise: The combination of students and thugs will fill the air with loud music during the day. Never a problem late at night. Walls are thin. Hear my neighbor having sex one a month. -Halls: Look and feels like a dorm building. -Kitchen: A closet converted into a kitchen. Floor space is 4'x3'. Really, a hotel kitchen is twice the size. -Kitchen apps: Basic, compact. Nothing fancy, dorm quality. -AC, carpet, windows, lights, outlets: AC setting (heat or cold) is control by the complex. Works fine. Basic carpet, windows slide to the side and open, small amount of outlets but sufficient. Cable TV had to be rewired via the closet since the buidling is too old to set up regular connection. -Bugs: They spray monthly and I find small roaches every other week. 3 months, 6 roaches. -Utilities: Waters pipes are rusted, so you need to run water before using it. Good preassure and dependable power. -Smell: I play the 'Name that smell' game every day. With an enclosed building, a new smell is always in the hall for you to discover. Sometimes it's food, other times it's pot. -Security: I have to say that the concierge is always watching the security monitors and always responds to problems very quick. The most impressive thing about the building. I've stayed in fancy, expensive places where the monitors are always on but nobody watching them. The card system is good but the flow of strangers is constant. -Summary: I wanted to save money for a short period of time, and that's what 710 gives me. I know I gave up a lot of benefits moving here from Post, but in general I'm not a picky person, I'm just realistic. A lot of peopl try to fool themselves by expecting too much of this place but if you get ready to live in a dorm like setting, with all the problems you remmember from college, then come here and save some money. If you want peace and a nice place to call home, go and pay a lot more somewhere else.

I currently live in 710 Peachtree (as of October 2007) and the location is great, prices are competitive, but the bugs and smells/as well as noise is awful. The building isn't secure, as thugs/prostitutes linger the hallways at all hours of the night. If you can deal with the AC not working when it's warm outside, this happens often.
