I've been living here for 3 years and you get what you pay for

I've been living here for 3 years and if I was not moving to another state I would stay. I will admit the 710 isn't perfect. But for the price we pay to live in Midtown, I can't complain. Lets talk about the good stuff first. Maintenance is normally prompt. There has only been a one thing I don't feel was addressed quite like it should. The management are helpful. For the issues that I have had, they have addressed them and shown great customer service. Another great thing is the location. You are in middle of everything. I am minutes from my job by car and train and we are 5 minute walk from the Marta train station.
Now the bad things. The location can be a good thing and a bad thing. Because we basically live almost in downtown you deal with down town issues. Crime hasn't been an overwhelming issue for me but that is definitely something to keep in mind. The best thing that thing they have done recently is hire a security guard to watch over the property in the evenings. Parking! I pay $75 a month for a parking spot. I do feel like that the cost is extremely too high. Especially, since my neighbor moved here the year before me and was paying $25 when she moved in here. Hell of a price increase. Plus, parking on the street can be touchy. Your visitor will either have to pay a parking lot or jungle with the parking that is left after the Fox theatre's patrons have taken all the spot. Plus, my boyfriend has had his car broken into on the street. Roaches have shown there faces in my apartment. I will see 2 or 3 in about a week or two and then I will not see anything for months. But lets face the fact, we are staying in a high rise apartment where people are surrounding on almost all sides. You can't control your neighbors habits. So, if you don't like it. Move into a house. Lastly, the heat. You can't control whether or not heat or cool air comes out of your unit. Its on some system similar to radiators. The apartment switches your air to heat or cool air. The problem is that it takes several days of a consistent temperature before they will switch from one to the other. So when it gets warm it is like a sauna in here. Plus, the radiator things are not very insulated and they also give off heat. But in the end, it isn't that bad and it is definitely worth the location and price.
