I am really shocked to hear the bad reviews of 710 Peachtree. Though I am not claiming they are untrue. I lived in a studio apt and then a large 1 bedroom apt in this complex over a period of 3 and a half years. I am a young female. I was 19-21 yrs old at the time. This was my first apt after leaving college dorm life.
This apt has a great location in Midtown a block from the Fox Theater. It is right next to a Marta station. It is a great apt for young people. I NEVER saw a roach or any insect the whole time that I lived there. Maintenance was quick to respond to problems and pest control came out 1-2 times a year without being requested. Also, you could request pest control any time and they would schedule you immediately. Noise was a bit of a concern, which is why this is a better apt complex for young people. However, if I ever had a noise complaint, I could call downstairs to security and they would immediately rectify the problem. The parking used to cost #40/month to park in the secure, underground garage. I always felt safe in these apts because security (and sometimes police officers) were always at the front desk monitoring who came in.
The apts I had were very roomy overall. The apts are not fancy or anything, but they are nice and homey. They were always warm in winter and cool in the summer. I did not have to pay utilities, which was a beautiful thing. A real money saver. The ONLY reason I moved was because I had to have a 2 bedroom apt as I was expecting a baby. The complex only has studios, one bedrooms, and 3 penthouses.
The problem with the apt complex seems to be with the management company. I know that about 6 months before I moved a new management company took over and they began some major renovations on the building. I did not have any problems with the new management at the time.
For those of you who are having problems, write a complaint letter to the management company itself, write to the Better Business Bureau, and the Housing Association. Write to anyone who will listen and be specific about the problems. I had a nightmare apt experience right after I moved out of 710 Peachtree. I finally got fed up with dealing with the apt complex manager and staff and I wrote to the complex's management company. My problems got resolved very quickly.
Maybe if enough people complain these apts will be as nice to live in as they used to be for me. I guess I am feeling a bit nostalgic, but I miss living there so much.

What years did you live here? That must have been some time ago if parking was only $40. It's now $75 a month. And it is HORRIBLY roach infested here. It's really really bad. I am not used to that because I came here from owning a home in another state.
Good luck on your future apartments.

You're lying. I'm sure someone who works at this apartment wrote this. When you were 19-21....throwing out age RANGES? So, that or this was so long ago that management has probably changed 50 times since then.

I agree with the original poster about one thing. THat's writing a letter the the company it'self. I didn't catch on to that until I lift 710 Peachtree, formally Scandanavia House. I had a problem at a later apartment complex. I faxed and sent certified mail a letter to the apartment office site, and cc'd the district, regional, and national office. My problem was resolved personally by the onsite office manager in 45 minutes!
Any complaints you have put them in writing and fax them and certify mail them, that way there is no denial. Certified letters get people's attention. Try it and post results.
