MY ISSUE

I felt like I should let everyone know about my experience with this Property. I am a current resident at a AMLI property not this one but I was looking to transfer my lease to this one. My partner and I went and looked at a unit at this property and the agent only had units avaiable to show in the new building (for those who dont know AMLI bought this property and decided to add more building to the property)After looking at the unit we decided that was what we wanted. The leasing agent was telling us that in that ONE building they were not allowing dogs in the building but that you could have a cat. Now I was furios with this complex and the property manager stated to me that it was not her decision it was the regional managers decision. Me being pissed at the complex at this point paid my deposite with the understanding that if the regional manager tells me no when I call her about the situation I would get my deposit back. Well I called the Regional Manager I gave her my name and why I was calling and before I could say anything else she cut me off and went off on her tangent about why they are NOT allowing ONLY Dogs in that building. As I explained to her I want to know the diffrence in having a cat that sheds hair worse than any dog and having a dog in the unit is diffrence. The only anwser the Regional Manager could give me was some tenants are scared of dog and we are trying to accomidate all residents . LOL I then asked to speak to the Vice President of the region. I was then informed by the regional manager that I was wasting my time as they made this decision togather and that she would be backed all the way. So I then asked the regional manager to speak to the President of the company and was informed that she wouldnt give me that information that I needed to talk to the V.P first and then if I didnt get the anwser I wanted I could then ask to speak to the President of the Company. At this point I was so pissed at the property that even if they changed there mind and told me it would be OK I wouldnt move there because I see how they DONT take care of there residents. Well I waited ALL day to hear from the Vice President who never called me back after I left 3 messages. I gave up and decided to just drop it but I told the Regional manager I would let everyone know how I was treated by her and about the response I DIDNT get from the V.P Of the property.. I hope this review will help furture residents in making a decision in moving here. I will tell you that the leasing office and the people in the office were really nice and didnt do anything wrong as they dont make the decisions on the pet policy so please if you are considering moving here it looks like a great complex beautiful apartments and I would have loved to live here but the Regional Manager helped make my mind up by acting the way she did. Thanks
