I have lived here for two years, when I moved in I was told they were remodeling the buildings and interiors after each tenant moved out. When my lease was about to expire I was told it would NOT be renewed but I could move into one of the newly done units, being stressed for time I agreed as one had opened up above me with the same view I had. Don't get me wrong, the apartments now look nice, the bug problem is being brought under control as much as it can for an outside apartment in Atlanta next to a creek that is more like an Amazon jungle. The problem here is with management. I was made to move after a year due to the remodeling plans, but had been told when I first moved in that it wouldn't effect tenants. WRONG. My rent went up 100.00 with the new apartment, and to add insult to injury I had to HAGGLE for the move-in bonus that new tenents were being offered. Robyn the horrible leasing agent was indignant when I asked for my bonus and treated it like I was some bedraggled vagrant asking for a handout. I moved from the apartment to the upstairs unit knowing that as soon as I left builders would be in to gut the place and start renovating, so I didn't scrub it. It wasn't trashed as all, just a little dirty, I get charged 75.00 for cleaning. Again, I had to haggle. Why charge for cleaning when the place was going to be gutted immediatly' Which brings me to yet another gripe. I have lived with HORRIBLE noise for nearly two years! The water is ALWAYS being shut down due to broken pipe repairs. Finally after all this stress, noise, annoyance, the remodeling is finished. But is quiet and enjoyment to be found' NO, I get a notice saying my lease is soon up and need to renew, when I have a paper saying it is up in Dec. obviously a mistake, I try to fix, the verdict from Robyn, "No sorry" I am filing a suit, as well as a complaint with Amli for not fullfulling the promise of "Just the way you like to live" as I can't imagine anyone wanting to live like the not exagerrated above. I am a busy professional who does NOT have the time to move, or I would have cut my losses. Take this warning!
Don't move here, find another place where good tenants are respected.
