Bad, but not horrible.

I have tried to make this review thoughtful and complete. I am not affiliated with the apartment in any way, and overall I would not recommend this apt unless you really like the location. Basically parking, security, location, and the maintenance staff are all good. Noise, leasing staff, and building materials are poor. I will list my complaints about this building below, as well as some of the good points.
This location is very convenient to GaTech, Crawford Long Hospital, Publix, Post Office, Walgreens, BP Gas Station, Fox Theatre, Bank of America Building, and some small shops.
The noise is terrible. Juniper runs right between the two buildings of this complex. Both of these buildings are concrete and amplify the noise so you can always hear it. The traffic starts about 7:15 in the morning so forget about sleeping in. I suspect the courtyard units don't have this problem, I don't know though. The walls are kind of thin; I can hear neighbor's cupboards closing, music, etc. Nothing compared to the constant traffic. I cannot emphasize enough how bad the noise is. One point of comparison is that it is quieter in my car on the interstate.
The structure of the apartment was overall cheap. This is touted as a luxury apartment home, however, many of the fixtures are cheap, the carpet is cheap, the paint marks very easily (also cheap). One serious structural issue is that the windows and patio doors are very poorly insulated, so this winter whenever it got below 40 deg F, condensate would build on the windows. This led to huge pools of water forming on the sill and presumably in the carpet around the patio doors. Mildew grew, it was pretty gross. We spoke to maintenance, but they said they knew and couldn't do anything.
The people in the unit are pretty wide mix. There seems to be two basic types, the young professionals that work in adjacent buildings and then clubbers who go to college and look/smell gross. I'm married with a baby on the way so I obviously don't desire to live with scrubs. However, you scrubs out there should keep in mind that you can walk back from bars, which is probably good for you. Also another plus for scrubs is that you'll be in like company so you can meet others of your breed. I also suspect these scrubs of vandalizing the property, but it hasn't affected me personally. There is the occasional pornographic image in the elevators, which are also kind of slow.
Parking is great, you could park five cars in here and they would never notice, just carry the remote with you. The gates are always closed for the resident parking, there is some guest parking for future residents, etc. Security is also good, but there was a break in and a vehicle theft, it is right in Midtown so I think the security is as good as it can be.
They don't let you have grills, so I have to grill my meat in the courtyard, which isn't that bad, but sometimes there isn't any gas and that is annoying. That has happened several times to me.
The lease agreement is also very restrictive. Technically they can come into the apartment at any time they wish. If the payment is late, you have to pay back the "Market Rate" plus a 10% fee of that rate. This is heinous because they give you all these deals coming in, but one slip up and you have to pay them back. My market is 1118, and my actual month rent went down to 836 over the 12 months. If I break my lease some how, then I have to pay back the concessions which are somewhere around 4000.
