After requesting that I would not like a ground floor apartment the day before I was to move I was informed that the apartment promised was still not ready. So, I was put on the ground level. The 2 years I lived there I had several run ins with peeping toms and 4 attempted break ins. I asked the complex many times for locks on the windows. My requests went unanswered. A few month ago I noticed large tears in my furniture and then one night I saw a huge rat run into the kitchen. On investigation I found a large hole in the kitchen wall. At once I out a thick cardboard box in front of the hole and the next morning the box had a hole. I informed the complex and once again my calls and letters went unanswered. Enough was enough. I gave 2 months notice and spent a lot of money on traps and poison. They are now trying to get me to pay some penelty for moving out early. My attorney is taking care of that! There are a lot of units empty and know I see why. It's cheap for a reason.
