Yep, I stayed

I wrote a review for Ansley Forest a little over a year ago entitled "Overall, I'd probably stay."
I stayed.
And I'm going into my third year.
I moved from a two-bedroom to a one-bedroom unit last year and really only lost the space from the other bedroom (which wasn't mine anyway).
The tiles in the bathroom are still not the color I'd pick (which is white because it goes with everything), but they are a nice pale yellow and are easy to match to rugs, a shower curtain, etc.
The bedroom in my current unit is slightly smaller than my old unit, but the kitchen is bigger, as is my walk-in closet.
Now people, common sense is going to tell most people that older apartments will need more upkeep.
It's up to the tenant whether or not he chooses to live in a place where things will likely need repair due to much wear and tear.
I saw this place before moving in -- I looked at the rails on the stairs and saw that paint was chipping off -- and yeah, I said "what the hell -- the price is PERFECT." And I'm still happy I made that decision to move into Ansley Forest.
I'm still pissed off about an incident recently where my AC unit was broken and not fully repaired (meaning: replaced) for more than a month and during which time my electricity bill skyrocketed and management told me it was essentially my own problem.
SKYROCKETED.
In any event, I really would like for someone to find me an apartment complex who WOULDN'T do the same thing.
My unit was replaced and it now functions perfectly, as does every other fixture, unit, etc.
I've had them fix in my time here.
I am a good tenant and I always keep up my end of the lease, so until I can afford more I would have to say that this is by far the best community within my budget and you won't find anything better if you're in my situation, on a strict budget, and need to be in Midtown.
For the price that I pay and the location in which I live I am getting SUCH a deal!

We're coming up on the end of our 3rd year living here. Our rent has stayed the same everytime (knock on wood). Also, they will offer you a choice of having your carpet cleaned, installing a ceiling fan, removing or adding wallpaper to the kitchen or bathroom(s). I'm not sure what size unit you are in, but the ceilings fans dropped our electricity bill during the summer by almost half.

I have a question. My wife, toddler son, and I will be moving to Atlanta this summer. Ansley Forest looks very good to us. We are concerned however, that the apartments do not have families with young kids and preschoolers. Is this concern true? Would you recommend us to move to AF?

Hi. I have seen a few families here. More often than not, though, you will see many singles - lots of men, some couples. My friend lives here with her young kids and husband. One of their neighbors is a family with young children. That person's neighbor is a family. Where I live there don't seem to be any kids except for visitors. I don't know what my user name will show as (not logged in), but I wrote this original post and like it says -- overall I would STILL probably stay. I don't have kids, though. I like the convenience of everything. My friend's kids don't seem to have a problem with the place. It's secluded enough to where you don't appear to need to worry about your kids getting lost or hit or anything. I mean how fast can someone drive in this place? I hope that helps. Sorry it's a delayed response. Good luck!

what about if you are a woman in her 20s. I will be moving to ATL by myself. Would you still recommend AF?
