I'm not sure how to feel...

I moved into this apartment complex, now called Ashford Park, at the end of June 2007. They warned me about the construction going on next door to my potential apartment with the new complex going up, but since i was moving from another place with construction next door and didn't really mind I went on ahead and signed my lease. The price was too good to beat. Be aware if you are on the construction side they work 6 days a week starting at 6:30 am. I read about the fire alarms going off at Ashford Park, the year before but hadn't heard anything else about it. Well, my very first night the building fire alarm went off. Well, it goes off very often. At least 10 times so far this year. And when you call about it, it takes maintenance at least 45 minutes to turn it off. It is the most annoying sound I have ever heard. No one ever goes outside. People just ignore it. I'm afraid that when there really is a fire there will be dire consequences because we have brushed it off for so long. I rented one of the un-remolded apartments and was pleased for the most part. They claimed my walls would be painted a different color but when I moved in it was just plain white. I could live with that. But since the new management took over, August or September, they seem like they have been trying to make the outside look nice. I just wish they would have kept the light colors instead of the dark browns. It makes the hallways look dark, when they seemed so well lit before. Really, my only complaint is the fire alarms. So if you don't mind hearing them all the time, especially at 3 o'clock in the morning then go ahead and sign up.
