i am a current resident at "the glen" , and i am an honest person that is a real stickler for customer service and the finer things in life...one of the problems with the apartment was the staff and fortunately one of the more unprofessional staff members were fired about a month ago...for the space you get it is a great price...but since i moved in a bout a month and a half ago i have seen 3 roaches and coming from ohio, i am not used to seeing those HUGE bugs...i am a very clean person, and the roaches i saw were all dead, i guess from not getting any food from me...but nonetheless i was pissed i saw bugs, so i reported the problem to the management, and they have pesticide people come every monday and every since they came and spraid my apartment i have not seen any unwanted creatures...i probably am the loudest person in my living areas because i have 2 stereos and i like to play my songs, and i have recieved a noise complaint...it happens when your only 22, but other then that i havent had any problems with neighbors, i have only found one neighbor to speak to everyone else pretty much keeps to themselves...the grounds are well kept...the hallways REALLY could be painted and better maintained but as soon as it began to bother me i got a note saying they would be remodeling and repainting that area in a week...so as of now i have no problems and think its a great place to live...its a great location close to wherever you want to go whether it be marrietta or buckhead or midtown or decatur...i have a friend who stays around the corner at the windsor at glenridge, his parking is FAR WORSE, then mine but it is a better secured area, but he pays the same as me in rent basically and i have 450 more square feet then him...i think that in itself should sway people to move to the "glen"...
so basically the deal is...
management is better and they fullfill all requests in 24hours, but sometimes are disorganized(dont try to get anything done on a saturday)...grounds are good...people keep to themselves...walls are kinda thin which sucks...parking spaces are not an issue...rent prices are great...and get the pest control people to spray your apartment and you'll be cool... oh yea and the carpet sucks make sure you have people take there shoes off...
-oh and one more thing , i did see the flood damage but luckily for me i live on the third floor and dont have to deal with that type of rif raff, that is moreso for the hispanic families of like 20 that live in there low rent one bedroom with only 600sq ft...so they get what they pay for, and they moreso dont live on the first floor as they do a subfloor and when i go to the garage i can imagine that might have a rat issue..another thing i dont worry about on the third floor...make sure you get a fireplace so you dont have to deal with that type of stuff, you'll be high enough up with the fireplace
