I just moved from this place in Spring 2006.
And glad I did...............Why'
First of all being a single female living in a complex that is damn near vacant is not a good thing. I loved the floor plan but I didn't love running from where I parked my car(which was a whole parking lot away) to my 2nd floor apartment every night after school.
Second the location is prime but if you live on the street side of Roswell Road you get all the traffic noise and all the street noise. (I was waking up in the middle of the night to the sound of police sirens)
As for the drugs and violence I have to say I was not exposed to that (maybe because I ran to quickly to my apartment).
Management sucks...I still haven't gotten my deposit back or an explanation to why I wasn't refunded anything.
Oh yea and I lived on the side where employees would park thier cars to get the golf carts before work. Try waking up @ 7am to the sound of loud music, no not from your neighbor but from the actual employees. Wow this place was ghetto!
I know people who live in that area so one day I dropped by to see if they have improved..........NOPE! What was I thinking'!!'
Anyway stay away and spend your rent money else where.
In an effort to stay on a positive note. There are several complexes that have programs where 15%-20% of your rent goes toward a purchase of a new home. (the previous owners used to participate in this program. I know live in a complex that does this and it is well worth the money I spend on rent. Which is less than I was spending at the Avistele.
Good luck!

Can you provide some names of complexes that offer the home buying program? That sounds great!
