Big, dangerous apartments. Now with homocides!

I moved out of this property about a month ago after living there for one year, and I moved out primarily because of safety reasons (and it looks like that was justified).
At the risk of cliche, here's the review:
The good: The apartments are huge for the price you pay, and for the most part are decent.
The security team there is very quick- we called them once (for people yelling) and we had 5 guys show up in swat-style clothing within 3 or 4 minutes.
Quite impressive, but makes you wonder why they need 5 security guards on site.
Parking was usually no problem.
The bad: Maintenance: After being assured the ceiling electrical outlets (for fixtures) were operational and finding that they weren't, we went through a 3 or 4 month process before they told us that the wiring couldn't be fixed.
Frustrating.
Bugs: We started out the bug experience after about 3 months with ants in the guest bathroom and the kitchen.
Those were the winter bugs.
In the spring, we were upgraded to roaches.
At one point we came home and turned on the light in the kitchen only to see all the baby roaches run from the floor to the cover of our cabinetry.
They were everywhere.
You would wash dishes in the dishwasher and when you took out the dishes roaches were on them.
The ugly: Well I'm sure you already know about the double homicide.
Check out the ajc if you haven't heard (Aug 7, http://www.ajc.com/search/content/metro/northfulton/stories After maybe 4 months we began hearing gunshots monthly.
We lived in building 21 and in the spring we noticed graffiti on the building.
Turns out it was all over the building.
The apartment below us was empty and a window and its frame had been busted out (eventually there was a pool of water/sewage outside that door- and I'm not even making that up).
There was a mattress outside that apartment beside the graffiti...
It's all probably still there.
The big picture: Although the people we talked to there were nice and the apartment was big, we moved because we really didn't feel safe (and the bugs).
When people grimace when you tell them where you live, there's probably something wrong, and it definitely showed when two people were killed within sight of our old apartment.
Even if the apartments are big and the price seems right, it ain't worth it.
