THIS PLACE HAS A LOT OF PROBLEMS!!!! AND IS NOT WORTH THE PRICE THEY WANT YOU TO PAY!!!

The kitchen appliances are all electric and are so old I can remember my parents using similar.

The stove is so small I can barely fit a turkey in it for Thanksgiving. The stove eyes are those old aluminum pop-up style from the 50's and have to be constantly cleaned and scrubbed.

The refridgerator is also old and worn out, the seals constantly leak causing condensation and molding, not to mention faster spoilage.

The dishwasher leaks and the top basket falls down when too much is placed on top, and the bottom basket prongs have rusted so that stains get on my dishwear.

The washer/dryer units are also way outdated. You can only do small loads and then it takes 3 hours to dry on the only setting "fluff dry". How about that for a high energy bill'

The air conditining units do NOT have a thermostat.....they are either on or off, so you have to choose, do you want to be HOT or COLD' And THEY SMELL of Mold and Cigarette Smoke. Look inside the vents...they have all kinds of spore mold growing in them. They come and change the filters but who cares when what is inside is never cleaned out!!!

The closet and bedroom doors constantly come off track and the doors themselves are so old they become seperated and have to be glued back together. They do not do a good job of that either!

The kitchen countertops are the same ones from 20 years ago, and all they do for repair between residents is re-paint them. So when you set a glass of tea down, you have a permanent stain and if you use a brillo it leaves scratch marks on the paint.

The kitchen cabinets are pre-historic and are too small to fit my dishes, pans, and appliances that need to be stored. They are the old pre-fab, PRESSED WOOD, cabinets from yesteryear.

The bathroom sink fixtures are OLD, OLD, OLD!! The pressed board underneath hangs down and they are not properly caulked to the wall and floors.

AND BELIEVE ME, THERE IS NO EXAGGERATION ABOUT HOW LONG IT TAKES FOR THE ELEVATOR, ESPECIALLY IN THE MORNING, YOU REALLY CAN WAIT FOR UPTO 15 MINUTES FOR IT TO COME!!!!

THE ELEVATORS ARE CONSTANTLY BROKE!!! THEY REFUSE TO UPGRADE THEM! IT IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE FOR THE ELDERLY THAT CANNOT TAKE THE STEPS! AND AS FOR ME, WHY SHOULD I "HAVE" TO TAKE THE STEPS WHEN I AM PAYING FOR THE CONVENIENCE OF AN ELEVATOR''' I live on the upper floors of the building.

LET'S TALK ABOUT THE CRIME:

DON'T BE FOOLED INTO THINKING THAT THE PEOPLE AT THE FRONT DESK (Conceirges--yeah right) ARE WATCHING THE CAMERAS.........if they were, then the criminals would be getting caught and we wouldn't have so many car break-ins and other crimes being committed. I have caught them asleep in the laundry room, and even waited for over an hour for them to come back to the desk at night. They are "too friendly" with some residents, and unfortunately for the rest of us, we are not being protected when their friends do not act right.

It is also true that on weekends there is nothing but loud "ghetto" music being blared from cars that get stopped at the red light in front of the building...honking horns, and big mouths that want to disturb your sleep because their drunk and intentionally want to disturb the residences.

I can see homeless people sleeping across the street on the front porch of the church and am starting to see crack heads at night near the shopping center 1 block away. I used to feel safe walking in this neighborhood, but not anymore.

Some residents here definitely get better treatment because they are better off than others......there's always a party on the 14th floor!!! But that's ok because he's rich! I'm glad I'm not his neighbor!! I would NEVER get any sleep.............but oh, they are oh so cute though!! (sarcasm) I personally think he's a drug dealer! I wonder how many DUI's he's got' HO HO HO

The pool area has been invaded by on-lookers and masturbaters from the construction site next door. THEY START WORKING AT 6AM AND DO NOT FINISH UNTIL 8:30PM...6 DAYS A WEEK! You will not get a moments rest for at least another 6-8 months from now. The view of downtown has been RUINED by this new construction....LIVE HERE IF YOU WANT TO LOOK AT SOMEONE ELSE'S ROOF!!!

and yes, it is also true........there are old, dusty, vehicles here that are broken down, but they cannot be towed away out of the parking deck because the tow truck cannot fit into the deck.

I'm just too tired to keep writing about how bad it REALLY is...

but one last thing.....MANAGEMENT SUCKS!

It's the same old thing, they're glad to see you when you are part of their commission pay for the month, but the rest of the time that you live there, YOU ARE JUST A PAIN IN THE BUTT TO THEM. Wait and see how their attitude changes on you once you move in and need something from them! They won't be smiling back at you for sure.

I have lived at the Bennington for a good number of years and have had none of the experiences this person has had. This is pure nonsense.

Please, this person is a spoiled in-town resident that cannot be pleased in any way. They are complaining about non-spacious eletric appliances, dish washers, washer/dryers (that come standard in every unit), and thermostats! For a high-rise/in-town living, those are pretty weak complaints. If you need higher standards, go pay the prices that Post Peachtree is charging or move outside the perimeter. I left a postitive review on 04/10/2005 and I still stand by it. I've been house sitting for 2 years and I plan on moving back for the 3rd time. Also, give the doorman who works the 12am - 7am shift a break, if you took the time to talk to them you would realize they work several jobs and barely get 5 hours of sleep a night and get paid crap for looking after your rich high-rise living booty. Also, we all know that, "ghetto", terms means that you are too afraid to say black people and label yourself for what you really are, and that is why you get treated my management the way you claimed to be.

Old appliances and mold are very legit complaints. And "tailgate" above is not helping management out by suggesting tenants should give the overnight doorman a break and let him sleep. Only in Atlanta is it acceptable to not do your job.

I don't agree with everything, but the kitchen really is terrible. The appliances are very old and ugly. The counters are the kind that stain immiediately if you spill some tea or even set a cup down. The heating/air system is useless. I bought a little room heater so I wouldn't freeze on cold nights. The heat works for awhile but then gets cold. Plus its makes this really loud noise so you can't even hear the TV. Not to mention other really loud strange noises I hear all the time. ind of like a loud wailing/creaking. I am not sure, but I think it the old fridge. I definitely feel like an idiot paying so much for it. It should cost a lot less. But actually, I do feel safe here. There are a lot of older people. I have only had to wait for more than 5 minutes for the elevator a few times. Other days it takes a few minutes but I guess that isnt so bad considering how old they are. I have found the concierges to be very helpful usually. I also think it is very clean.
