WHAT HAPPENED TO BENNINGTON TOWERS

I currently live at Bennington Towers and have been here for the past 3 years. The Place has been gradually losing a tremendous amount of its customer service. And to be honest that was the main draw to the building since it is overpriced compared to many of the newer buildings in the area with more ammenities and nicer appointed apartments. I'm not sure what happened but they used to have a very nice front door staff that was so attentive, caring, and went above and beyond the call of duty. There was one guy there named ----- that you could tell any of your problems to and within just a few minutes he could make you feel as though you never even had a problem. There was another guy named ----- that was the friendliest little guy you ever wanted to meet. And lastly there was -----, he was the last of the original doormen and was a complete gentleman; he was the epitome of chivalry. And all of a sudden this past week ----- too is now gone and the new guys they have replaced them with are amatuers to say the least. It takes a special type of person to work in a service oriented position while still maintain a sense of presence about yourself.. I'm not sure if there was some sort of ego driven thing with the building mananger who likes to take credit for every good thing that happens at the building and takes days off work when issues need to be handled or what but I Will say this: Replacing that team of guys that were here for at least the 3 years I've been here was the biggest mistake management could have made. Their level of service was the only thing that made the building attractive. With those guys when you came home you felt as though you had ARRIVED. Now u just come home and try to walk as briskly as you can to try and avoid the new door people, which isn't hard to do seeing that they are on their cells phones about 90% of the time. Add to the lack of competent service on the main floor, the outdated appliances, and poor climate control in the units and its a recipe for a moving truck.
-------------- If you are reading this. I Hope Capital Properties fires you because you have run what was once a very nice building into the ground.

Bennington Towers is a wonderful place to live...The only person who would say otherwise is someone who broke the rules (brought a dog into their apartment.....or someone who was dating one of the guards who got fired...) Bennington is a very secure, quiet, enjoyable place to live....plain and simple......wonderful staff.....

This must be from the girlfriend of the most recent "doorman" that was let go, sorry you cannot "hang" out at the front desk any more. Try that hanging out at his new job, and I bet he looses that one too. The new guys are very professional, and quite frankly I am glad to see the changes!

I lived in this high-rise for years. Because of their diverse population you are bound to find people that have a problem with everything. I haven't lived in the building for 2 years, but often visit with the staff to catch up. Odds are, if you have a problem with the staff, than you yourself are the one with the problem.

I totally agree with you. The new lady at the leasing office( the bigger one) is not nice at all. She just doesn't care. The smaller one is really nice tho' reminds me of the previous crew.
