I love my apartment, really I do. However, I despise the people that live above me. My upstairs neighbor has children that are allowed to run in the apartment, jump on the beds, bang drawers shut, slam doors, etc. I find myself being woken up on a regular basis by random noises from upstairs. Sometimes the noises are so powerful that they actually shake my furniture.

I realize that there is not much that the management can do regarding this problem. I have tried to address it (politely) with the neighbor, but she has failed to understand how noisy her children are. I'm close to volunteering to pay for dance lessons to teach her kids to "step lightly."

So, realize that the construction of these apartments makes it best for you to live on the top floor OR below an apartment with quiet, childless neighbors.
