People, people, people...

I'm not going to express any strong emotions about Dewberry Glen. I'm just going to list some facts to be more helpful. Well, at least I would want to see some dry honest facts about apartment communities, so I can fairly decide whether or not to live there. For the record, I've lived here for 1.5. Planning on moving out to get something closer to my work.

1) Management. Some reviewer was right: management turn over is incredible. In 1.5 there were at least 5-6 different people working in the office. I've never had problems with them. So cannot really tell you if they are really evil or not.

2) Community Maintenance. A year ago they resurfaced parking lots, painted exteriors and doors. Normally, they notify tenants 2-3 days in advance if any maintenance activity is going to happen in front of or inside the buildings.

3) Apartments Maintenance. So far they were pretty responsive. But I didn't have a lot of problems.

4) They used to do better job at keeping breeze ways and staircases clean. I don't think they've cleaned them for the past 3-4 months.

5) Updates. They've installed wireless network. But, unfortunately, I cannot tell the rate they charge you.

6) Roaches. There are 5 buildings. The ones that face woods have big roach problem. At least in building #5. Roaches appeared from nowhere every day. And by every day I mean literaly every day during the spring and summer. Extermination didn't really make any difference.

7) Noise. Occasionally some people can be very obnoxious and very loud outside. But it was on pretty rare occasion. Inside the apartments: noise level is pretty high, especially from upstairs neighbours. But, I think, it is a common problem for most of communities in Atlanta.

8) Parking. Pretty adequate. However, you want to get home before 11pm. Sometimes it's hard to find parking space near your building. There is covered parking for extra $20-25 a month. But they are limited: 10-15 spots.

9) Safety. Recently, there were number of car break-ins reported, which management made tenants aware of and promised a police car patrolling the community at night. I saw this police car only once. The little walk-in gate (the one that you need to punch in code) was humiliated for couple of weeks. Basically, anyone could enter inside. It was fixed after incidents with car break ins. Frankly, I'm beginning to feel a bit unsafe here.

10) Rent. When I moved in water was included. However, during the contract they've changed terms by making everyone pay $20-$30 extra for water. After a year they've increased rent $12 a month.

11) Power goes out with every major storm. The most annoying part of it is that if it happens and resets the alarm system it makes loud noise that can scare the hell out of you.

12) Tenants. Young professionals and families with kids.

Bottom line: it's not the best (if there any) and it's not the worst (and there are plenty of those) place to live.

As for your review, it is one of the few which appears to be the real deal here here---even with the bizarre recommendation, considering much of the content in your "factual talk".

As for your soapbox, put yourself on a pedestal, implication regarding other's reviews....claiming what "honest facts" are, and how you are going to do us all a favor by giving us some, while others you imply have not, Mr/Miss Clueless-----HONEST FACTS WERE given in them; in MANY of them, by SEVERAL people, many of whom gave their names or offerred proof, so dont go spouting off about things you know nothing about or judging others.

"Your" facts arent the only "honest ones".

If you cant handle the other folk's comments, or strong feelings resulting from strong abuse, and devastation and destruction of people's lives, thats YOUR problem.

If you want "dry", and need "dry" to make a decision, be dry, but dont imply the other people on here offerred anything else but honest facts, or that this "non-dry" style, or vocalization of their opinions, takes away from others "ability to decide". And that's exactly what you did, and I read your review 4 times before writing this.

A word to the wise. Dont go implying that others aren't giving "honest facts", or those same terrible things may just happen to you one day from folks just like these. It's called Karma.

Based on different things that happen to different people, their responses will vary as such.

Just state your peace instead of belittling others and making yourself and your opinions or choice of expression above theirs, and dont judge others or make your holyer than thou, "implications", or snide comments when you havent the least idea what you are talking about in relation to those reviews.

And let me tell you, every single one was not mine until recently, but I sat there in glee (and no surprise) reading them.

And they are just the tip of the iceberg and most people who moved out and had a spine never heard of this place. I know---I have seen many of them in the Publix and Kroger since then! (and asked them!)

You forgot to mention how the gate was broken for 16 days, and the other walk in one was broken for 4 and 1/2 mths another time--NOT 2 weeks. I overlooked that gate 20 feet away, and know it for a "fact". It was finally fixed when I said something to the answering service. (and documented the call)

Post hires a person to stand by a gate if it cant be fixed that night. On my life, I was told this. They do this till the next day or when it is fixed, which is almost always in 24 hrs. These guys, from the complex mentioned here, apparently get their parts and labor vendors from Siberia, where Post gets them in the US.

This factoid of Post was told to me, so help me God by a member of Post, without me asking, or EVEN bringing it up)

Noone expects that here from the likes of these people, but hey, 16 days, that's even attrocious for them.

I will soon have on here a detailed list of all sorts of things that have gone on here. But most important was the pervasive evil involved in the mgmt. That needed to be mentioned first and foremost. The word evil should NEVER be used lightly and it is not used lightly here. I look forward to putting much of that list on here very soon when I have time. And I give my word, it will be done---on my terms when I have the proper time to do it right and put it all on here. First things first, as in exposing these people well beyond this site. (and of course the accompanying facing of their wrath, which will pile up more Karma on them)

Anon1296, you need to get a life. you're too worked up about this. If you like Post so much, move to a Post property, and give everyone peace and quiet. Nothing annoys me more than a complainer who has to complain on a website and argue with others who are stating an opinion as well. Actually, It's quite pathetic. You obviously have nothing else to do. Now that I have written this, you will probably be outraged and will respond to my post, which will result in even more pathetic behavior. That's just proof there that you have nothing else to do.
