When I first toured the apartments, they seemed wonderful, so we signed a lease. However, when I moved into my apartment, it was far from what I had been shown. There was horrible wallpaper in the kitchen and all of the appliances were old. I have had my heat stop working 3 times and I have only been there for 4 1/2 months, and everytime that it breaks, it has been below 40 degrees outside. Since the apartments have new managment, they have been renovated all of the empty apartments. That's nice, but there is NO consideration for the people that currently live there. There are loud workers in the halls, early in the mornings, as well as in the apartments that they are working on. Also, I am paying a monthly fee for a reserved, covered parking space, but at least twice a week I come home to find someone in my spot. Also, some of the people that live here have VERY shady company. Several times a week there are people yelling and fighting in the parking lots and courtyards after midnight. There are also too many people that come in drunk past midnight, yelling, droping things and overall being disrespectful. I will NOT be renewing my lease!

I lived there last year and when I moved in there was horrible wallpaper in the kitchen and bathroom, I just asked them to take it down and paint the walls and they were pretty nice about it and got it done quickly. Maybe they will do that for you too!

also, I believe that if the renovations interfere with your apartment (I always had water coming from my ceiling when they were renovating the apartment upstairs) then you can give 30 days and terminate your lease. I think it is paragraph 25 of the lease agreement.
