Not at all what I had expected...looks are deceiving!

I was really excited to move in to a spacious one bedroom after living in a studio in another community for the last 2 1/2 years. They seemed really busy on the Saturday I came by to look and the property looked much better than the pic on the Promove card.

I was more excited when I found about the deal I was getting on my apartment. I signed my lease, and they didn't even do a walk-through with me. Apparently, my unit hadn't been lived in since they did the upgrades, so it seemed "new" in a sense. In doing my own walk-through, the stupidest things were wrong! My "brand new blinds" with the tags on them didn't work AT ALL and my dishwasher wasn't even mounted! When I opened it, it fell forward! My A/C didn't work either, and I had cabinet doors that were loose. Are these not things that you would ensure were right before you decide a unit is ready for move-in'

Since I've been there for 3 1/2 months, I am still not in the call box like I've requested at least a dozen times-no wonder everybody and their 2nd cousin have the codes and you get the same Chinese menus on your door weekly-I actually listened to a guy yell the code from his balcony to a friend that couldn't find his name.

The parking nightmares you read here are absolutely correct. Pay the $20 per month for a spot because if you get a ticket for parking in the fire lane, it's $75. I have actually drove through the entire property and not been able to find a single spot to park and there's no other option really.

As for the leasing office, the staff leaves MUCH to be desired. Extremely lazy and unprofessional...and most of all, ineffective. I e-mailed Vickey one day to let her know that if she wanted to hire some people worth a crap, let me know and I could send some people her way that would be HAPPY to do a better job. I got empty promises and her cell number. She has promised me that my name would go in the call box numerous times, and also promised that a car would be towed that hasn't moved once since I've been there-that was 3 weeks ago and it's still there. And work a normal day job and need to get by to pick up a package' Well they open every day at 9-except of course the days you've tried to go by at 9:30 to pick it up due to some random crap excuse.

I can't wait for my lease to be up so I can move somewhere that cares about their residents.

The pictures posted with this review are ridiculous! That is enough to keep me from moving in right there! Misspamcakes, I hope your apartment gets the much needed attention it deserves and the employees are handled appropriately for not dealing with these hazardous issues in a timely manner!

I did get a call shortly after posting this from the manager, who does seem to be the only one who does care. P.S. those aren't my pics. I didn't have anything like that in my unit and I thank my lucky stars for that!

Again, everything sounds typical. The office staff is worth absolutely nothing once you sign your lease. If you make the terrible mistake of moving here, get the property manager's cell number immediately. Report everything to her directly. The only way I was ever able to get ANYTHING done was to call her directly 5 times, and also email their corporate office. Even then, the response was not up to par, and usually made things worse. This place is run like a frat house, and anyone and everyone has access to the place. The secure parking and security gates rarely work. In fact, in the year I have been here, the security gates have only worked for a few weeks total. The lighting is terrible at night, and is practically a mugger or rapists dream. You get 500 chinese food menus a day on your door. The only thing they will do on time and properly is take your rent.
