Pretty nice; some minor issues

I've lived in my apartment for five months now.

I was the first one to live in it, and the unit itself is GREAT! I love the nice touches (cool countertops, unique lighting, nice floor tiles, etc...) My guess is that this place will go condo in the near future, because the appointments they put in have too much character to stay an apartment for long, in my opinion.

I have NO complaints whatsoever about my apartment or about the management.

All the girls in the office are really nice and I have never had to wait more than a day for a service request.

My main complaints:
1 -- This should have been obvious to me, but it is LOUD living in a unit that faces the pool.

The weekends are so annoying, as gaggles of frat boys and sorority girls gather poolside for drunken fun.

I guess I figured there wouldn't be many drunken college students hanging out at the pool in a complex where units start at $950/mo for a 1BR! But, most of the time it's not too bad...

and since it doesn't go on late at night, I'm really not that bothered by it.

But THAT brings me to point #2 --
You can't use the pool past 9pm, which is great for keeping the noise from getting out of hand, but kind of sucky when I want to swim after work at 10pm.

You also can't use the rec room past this point.

And "quiet time" begins at 10pm.

That means if you are having a party or just have more than two people talking out on the balcony, the security guy/rent a cop will come up and yell at you.

One of them threatened to TAKE ME TO JAIL if I didn't bring in the four guests out on my balcony at 11pm on a Saturday.

So, all in all, it's a great place to live -- but don't plan on doing much partying after the sun goes down.

Even once in a while.
