This place has lost its magic.

Although to be fair, it has just as many white alternative types who look strung out on crank, as it does shady black people who look like they are selling crack-so pick your poison.

Service has droppped considerably-but a lot of that has to do with the residents who are now moving in.

Gables is letting everyone in at clearance prices and the complex is starting to show the results of their greed.

The pool is a total debacle.

You can expect anything from people having sex, to broken glass, to people being in the pool at 3 in the morning, to people having family reunions with about 100 of their closest friends invited.

It has gotten to the point where Gables is posting a sign a week reminding people not to do the above mentioned things.

Gables is struggling to keep the units clean.

Trash is getting noticably worse, and they are slow to fix little things (like refilling the paper towel dispensers in the bathrooms by the pool (the paper towel dispenser in the work-out room is a lost cause, I don't think it has been refilled correctly since the old management team left)).

Also, the apartments (as you will read) are VERY loud.

Contributing to this noise is the fact that some of the apartments have their balcony facing other apartments-which means that when your neighbor across the way comes home drunk and wants to talk to their friend on the phone while smoking outside, you automatically become a 3rd person to the conversation.

Again, this is not the manger's fault (although they could do a better job of reminding people to keep noise levels down and perhaps actually institute some form of punishment-how about no talking on your balcony after midnight' Can these conversations not occur indoors')so you are pretty much left at the mercy of the dude upstairs who is 34 years old, works (part-time) at the restaurant down the street, and likes to blare his music and talk loudly outside about how important he is on Wednesday nights.

Clearly the management is receiving these complaints because, given some of the latest postings on this site, they are actively submitting fake reviews.

Hopefully some of these issues will be resolved.
