I moved here from Ft. Lauderdale (Inverrary Gardens-look that one up if you want scary!) last July and I have had no major problems. The property is beautiful, the staff is very nice and helpful (there is one lady who is kinda bitchy though). Actually, on the first day of winter when it started to get cold here, the staff was at the bottom of the parking garage handing out hot breakfast to everyone as they left for work in the morning! Anyhow, the only issues we've had is our downstairs neighbor likes to call the cops and the office on any little noise she hears. We had the cops come to our door while we were sleeping because of her! Yes, there have been some car break-ins. One to a guest of ours, actually. I think it's some kids in the area because they take loose change and backbacks and stuff. Honestly, the only thing people have to complain about here is the other people. Maybe if we got to know each other and actually said "hello" once in a while, everyone could better understand what's happening in their community. This place is great and I'll be sad to leave when the lease is up in a few months. My suggestion about noise is to live on the top floors. We never hear anything unless it's people in the halls. But that's the price you pay for living in an apartment complex. If you want total seclusion, by a house in Buford or something. I really like it here.

The noise in these units is horrible. The gates are broken on a regular basis and it takes a week to fix them. If the author finds this to be such an enjoyable place to live then why are they moving?

A year after writing this review I am still here - but not for long. The only reason why is because rent has increased to ridiculous amounts. I can't pay $1700 for the same apt I paid $1565 for a year and a half ago - especially when nothing has changed to justify the increase. I still think this is a great place to live and all the things that were issues in my previous review have disappeared. Haven't heard of a break in to a car in several months (which is an improvement) and the annoying downstairs neighbor moved out long ago. I've met a few people here that are really nice. I think that for the most part, people will be friendly if you are friendly to them. Anyone I meet in the stairwell or parking garage always smiles and holds the door open for me/others. I don't know - maybe whoever posted about unfriendly residents just has a sour face and no one wants to talk to them. I will agree about the gate being broken all the time. What's with that?! Honestly, I really liked living here despite the minor issues. I just can't afford it anymore. It's close to L5P and walking distance to Publix and other things. I've walked everywhere around here and felt completely safe. If they stopped increasing the rent - I would stay here for sure.
