The biggest plus for Briarcliff to me was the community. It is a mixed community. You have residents of literally every descent you can think of. If you are looking for a noncliquish(is that even a word) place to live this is it. There are six building. Honestly building six is the best building as its a bit removed from teh rest of the complex and almost in a world of its own. The rest of the complex sits kind of compact but i've never heard many complaints from residents about that.
The staff in the rent office changes from time to time. I've never had a bad experience though. The grounds crew and maintenance crew are awesome. Down to earth guys who speak. The cares team (Alicia & Jason) are awesome. They bust thier tails to try and make this a more inclusive community. Its not surprise to see them out in the morning handing out breakfast.
The complex is as safe as it gets for Atlanta. If you live in Atlanta you are going to be touched by crime eventually. All a complex can do is make every effort for safety. The gates always work. When they are broken by someone they are always fixed damn near immediately. Police come through from time to time and the best part is you RARELY see anyone just standing around outside. A big part of controlling crime is residents making thier company treat thier community like home.
The negatives for Briarcliff are parking. If you aren't home before it gets dark GOOD LUCK! The apartments are on the smaller size and there is a Marta bus that runs every hour on the hour that can be loud. As far as pest go if you live anywhere near that Red Georgia clay and expect not to get a water bug or two hanging out with you then you know nothing about Georgia. If you call they will send someone out on Monday to spray. I keep my own can of the good stuff locked and on deck because i've lived in GA for two decades. Where there is moisture and food a water bug or its dear cousin the roach will find its way in.
I'd reccomend Briarcliff Apartments fully. More pros than cons.
