Luck of the draw

I moved out almost a year ago, but I still read these reviews. In our five years at this property, we went through several different management companies (some good, some bad) before Broadstone bought the property. Although at first they seemed interested in making a difference in this community, management's early attitude quickly changed and service went straight to hell (while I still lived there, mind you). I currently live in a condo less than one mile away from this property, and I still know residents there.
A resident's experience at Broadstone is based on pure luck. If you're lucky, you don't have a building with a roach/ant infestation. If you're lucky, you got a unit in which the appliances work properly. If you're lucky, you don't have sketchy neighbors or vacant units (sometimes occupied by people not paying rent) in your building. If you're lucky, there is ample parking. If you're lucky, you don't know of any crime in your immediate area.
And if you are lucky enough to have most or all of these things happen at once, you're probably a reasonably satisfied resident and write a positive review. We were mostly lucky residents during our stay, although under Broadstone's management we had to repair several problems on our own--or never see them fixed despite multiple letters to management.
Even if you start out lucky, something will eventually go wrong, and it is highly unlikely that you will find it handled to your satisfaction. And as you can see, many residents have serious problems from day one.
Bottom line: should you move in' Depends. Are you feeling lucky'
