I have lived in Gables Walk for 3 years, and my experiences have been hit and miss. The staff is usually extremely helpful and friendly, but occasionally my roommates and I come across someone in the office who has a million more important things to do that help us. The maintenance staff is fantastic, though I have had to call more than once for the same problem before someone came to fix it.

My apartment is located RIGHT NEXT to the train; I have since gotten used to it and can even sleep through it now, but the apartment in which I live was not the same one I was shown when I toured the property, and the leasing consultant downplayed how loud it would be; in retrospect I feel that she was really dishonest about the noise.

We paid our pet deposit for small animals that have since died. We got a large dog (larger than what is allowed in the lease) in their place and though everyone in the office has seen me out with the dog, they have never complained or reassessed us for a different amount, nor have they asked that we not keep such a big animal.

My biggest complaint is the gym equipment. There are 3 treadmills, and on any given day only one is working well, though a second may be functioning enough for a walk. I have never seen all three working at the same time.

Lastly, the pool is great and well maintained. I was disappointed when they closed the hot tub and replaced it with the fire pit. The fire pit is cool and pretty, but I would have gotten more use out of the hot tub. The hot tub was closed before we moved in and it never reopened.
