After thoroughly searching the Atlanta area for a place to live, my roommate and I decided to live here. We??ve been here two months and are counting the days until our lease is up. This is my fifth apartment in Atlanta and we have had a worse move-in experience than my previous five places combined. We should have known something wasn??t right when they wouldn??t let us see the place before we moved in. When I signed my lease, the agent simply gave it to me without asking if I had any questions or offering to review it with me ?? apparently her cookies and personal Yahoo email in her office were more pressing at the time.
Upon move in, we discovered a wall to wall crack in the living room ceiling (among others), no locks on the doors working, a broken ceiling fan, a hole in the bottom of one of the garden tubs, leftover pills in the medicine cabinets and a seemingly abnormal roach problem. Upon THREE maintenance requests, the problems have slowly been acknowledged one by one over the two month period. Upon replacing the ceiling fan, dust was left all over my roommate??s floor, bed, and newly dry-cleaned black clothes. Upon fixing the crack in the ceiling, huge clumps of spackle as well as compound dust were left all over my roommate??s bathroom counter and sink. The hole in the garden tub still hasn??t been fixed and it??s been a month since the request to fix it was submitted. They have a gate, but it??s always open ?? which has led to several burglaries of cars.
The staff is obviously apathetic concerning its residents and their living conditions. I don??t consider the rent we??re paying to be on the inexpensive side for the area and feel completely taken advantage of. Find somewhere else to live and save yourself the hassle.
Also, the train is NOT QUIET if you live on the right hand side of the complex.
