Living at Brookwood Valley will give you many surprises.
You may come home one day, hearing water running, and SURPRISE! There is a busted pipe in the roof, leaking dirty, smelly water all over your personal items, and flooding your bathroom. You will call maintenance to get the water to at least stop running and SURPRISE! It will take them 3 hours to get there. They will put lovely holes in your roof and get plaster all over your items. You will be left with Lake Brookwood in your apartment and no guarantee that anyone is coming to clean it up. You will call the leasing office and SURPRISE! they won't take any responsibility for the flood or the damage to your items. They will tell you "sometimes pipes break" and refer you to the section in your lease that they have you sign because they know something like this will happen and don't want to pay for it.
You may even get a SURPRISE visit from "renovators" who will come into your apartment when you're not home. They will recklessly knock your things over, leaving plaster and dust everywhere. They will get dirt all over your dry clean only clothes. They will leave your door WIDE OPEN and abandon your apartment. Maybe even a stranger will stop by and walk right in your door, sit on your couch, and then when the "renovators" return to the apartment (ten minutes later), this stranger will not be questioned at all.
What a nice SURPRISE!
(This is an especially wonderful surprise if you are a first year medical student and in the middle of final exams.)
You will call the office and complain of all this: not being notified about renovations and the fact that they left your door wide open, and the office will tell you that they did, in fact, notify you. SURPRISE! You obviously are an idiot and don't know anything about what anyone told you, and if they say they notified you, they obviously did. They will make no apologies and your apartment will remain a mess with plaster, dust, etc for weeks. They will leave you with a HUGE hole in the ceiling that NEVER gets repaired.
These are just a few of the surprises Brookwood Valley has to offer. If you like surprises, Brookwood Valley is your place.
If you don't like stress, aggravation or damage to your personal property - DON'T MOVE HERE!!!
