Apparently, some of the other tenants here have just figured out that this is Atlanta. Every place you go is going to have some type of crime wave that passes through at one time or another. You don't live with mommy and daddy anymore to keep you safe. Unlike some of the people here, I researched when I heard about the recent crime (police reports are public). Some things to learn from these reports 1. Don't leave valuables visible in your car (easy picking will ensure that they will come back for more) 2. Don't open your door at 3am when you aren't expecting anyone (common sense 101) 3. This is a 'gated' community in the heart of Buckhead, not a castle with armed guards on horses (some of the residents think they are a princess) I like that I live in a community and not a prison with 'big brother' always looking over my shoulder. I feel perfectly safe here and love the location. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to move to Atlanta. In conclusion, if you are the type of person who grew up with rubberized playgrounds instead of a metal-bar jungle-gym, you probably shouldn't leave home anyway. As for anyone else who loves Atlanta and can function in normal society, there are some apartments coming available after the staff peels off the unicorn stickers and repaints the pink walls in the master.
