Waterbugs are my main complaint for this complex. Everything else is great. Parking is decent on my side of the complex, the staff is courteous and attentive, maintenance is slow but the repair gets done, grounds are well kept and I feel safe, my apartment is a great floorplan for the money! BUT if any part of you hates bugs like I do be prepared to be terrified. Please do not say "Oh you're in the south, so get used to it!" I have lived in two other apartment complexes that have had NO BUGS whatsoever. Within three days of moving in, a huge palmetto bug was crawling down my wall. I left my balcony door open to get a breeze (with the screen closed), left the room, came back 20mins later and two were on the kitchen ceiling and two were on the living room floor!!! I can only assume they came through the crack between the screen door and the wall because the door does not close all the way. I was getting about one every two weeks. During the winter months they seemed to disappear however, during the past two days while the temperature has been over 60 degrees i've killed two already (one in the bathroom, one in the bedroom..imagine if it would've crawled in my bed! Exactly!). Management exterminated a few times when I first moved in. This seemed to have no effect. I have sprayed Ortho Home Defense and Raid everywhere to no avail. I can not take another year of this. I plan on notifying management again now that the bugs are resurfacing. If this does not change by the time my lease is up this year I will have to move and would really hate to do so. I hate to see this problem bringing down a decent complex such as this.

can you tell me what floor your on?? im thinking of moving here but im leaving my other place due to bugs and i refuse to move somewhere else to have the same problem.

I had the same issue earlier this year because a disgusting neighbor that had moved out -leaving an infested apartment. Camden is not exactly pro-active in getting rid of the situation, however have them spray your apartment every friday until you see the bugs are gone. That's what I did and now I have them do a monthly spray to prevent them from coming back. Good luck!
