it sucks, run far far away from this dump From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 12/23/2003 Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2003   the only good thing that can be said about morningside chase is that it in a great location, otherwise it totally sucks. the apts. are falling apart literally{ceilings caving in, leaky roofs, mold, mildew, ants, roaches, mice, ferrell cats,ac's and appliances are often anchient and the bathrooms, sloppy painting over the last 30 years, ceiling falls in and still not fixed after 7 mos.-always waiting on the roofers,etc., stove oven door and sliding glass door broken not fixed in 7 mos.,drug dealers all over the place not to mention the tina addicts, water alternates between scalding and freezing, taking a shower is like dodging bullets, not to mention that the water is out every other week for one thing or another, the boiler room blew up in nov., no heat or water for two days, now we are told to ration hot water by the staff, nothing ever seems to get fixed, phone wiring is horrible, everyone has trouble hearing you on your phione not to mention all the static, oh speaking of drug dealers there have been two meth labs busted here requiring evacuation of apts. by police and fire, the boiler explosion is the third time i have been evacuated, my neighbor has no power in half of his unit because leaking pipes have corroded his breaker box, still has not been fixed by the way, surprise surprise, there have been three fires here sice i moved in, countless drug overdoses, domestic disputes, police have this place on speed dial as well as fire dept., staff lies about leases-where else are there 14 and 7 mo. leases that no one ever seems to hear about until they think their lease is up just to find nope you're screwed,they promise to show up for maintenance and then never show, the cable co. looks like the maytag repairman next to these bums, i could go on forever, in short DO NOT MOVE HERE RUN DON'T WALK FAR AWAY AND WARN YOUR FRIENDS, anyway they are going condo soon in the process of renovating now so you get all the noise and hassle of construction on top of all the other chaos, god help the suckers that pay 200k for these dumps, no amount of renovation can save these tenements, JUST BURN THEM
