I lived here for 2 years and moved out about 2 yrs ago after I graduated from Georgia Tech. Let me first say, I would only recommend this place if you are a male. Females often get harrassed by shady men who roam the community at night.
This complex was the first mixed-income community in the nation. You will find approximately half the residents are college students and the other half are low-income families receiving a housing subsidy from the government.
1) Staff - I didn't talk to them much, but they seemed very knowledgeable and friendly 2) Parking - Plenty of parking in a gated lot, although the gate was broken half the time. Off-street parking can be hard to find for guests. 3) Safety - During the daytime it isn't bad, but at night, I would not recommend females to walk alone. There are shady figures always walking around harrassing people and begging for money. There was also a GSU student who was shot outside my apartment during a robbery. 4) Noise - Inside the apartment was okay, but there were often large crowds of kids playing in the parking areas. One time, I saw a kid get run over by a pickup backing out of his spot. 5) Bugs - We had 3 ant infestations during our stay here which caused us to throw out all of our food and restock our pantry. 6) Maintenance - They usually responded in 48 hours which is decent. The toilets got clogged every 2 weeks though. After taking dumps, you need to hold down the flusher so it reflushes twice before you let go of the handle. 7) Rent - Expensive for what you're getting. If you're paying market rate, you'll sometimes feel anger/mixed feelings that your low-income neighbors are just sitting on their porch all day while paying only 10% of the rent you pay. 8) Location - Proximity to MARTA and Georgia Tech are a plus. Within walking distance to Centennial Park, Philips Arena, CNN Center, and GA Aquarium. 9) Size - The size of our 2 bd/2ba was adequate for 4 college males. The combined dining room and living room made the common area very spacious. We had 2 large work desks, a dining room table, 2 couches, and our entertainment center and still had space to do backflips.

I totally agree about the mixed feelings. I absolutely hated it and left after two months and being shot by little kids with BB guns( I guess for walking from my car to apartment).
