Centennial Place Apartments

not impressed From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 3/3/2008 Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008   First of all... the management here is unorganized and uneducated. It is very difficult to speak with them to get anything done. I would not hire any of these people even for a minimum wage job. The apartments are overpriced. I am a student at tech and my roommate and I applied for the 2bed/1bath in advance and they said we would be told where we would be living in no longer than two months. we were not told of our place until move in date... and then they tried to put too young girls on a bad side of the complex where crime was evident. We told them no... there was no way we would be living in that area... so they moved us. Our parking gate was broken for many months... and anyone could go into the parking place. the maintenance is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!! we put in multiple requests to get the weather strip under our door fixed... they were found just outside smoking all the time instead of doing their job. We live on the first floor and some of our windows did not lock. This had to be and was fixed immediately. However, we did not realize this problem until it was cool/warm enough for windows to be open. The children run rampid everywhere... through the halls and around the streets... breaking glass bottles on the street and screaming loud. Parents have no concern for this. section 8 housing is mixed in with others... my neighbors look at act like they belong in the projects... seen multiple drug deals on the streets washer and dryer are okay. our washer does not go through the spin cycle and has to be shook to work... dish washer extremely unefficient. our neighbors were robbed and some other students on the grounds were also robbed. the only reason why i would ever reccommend this facility to another is its closeness to georgia tech.
