Great location, great school,great programs.Some encounters with staff (office) were to be commended. However maintainence is terrible, and it starts form the manager and rolls down. As a resident I personally am not trusting and confident in the professionalism and manner of service provided. I have to follow up constantly on my service requests. I really should have known form the start that my experience in this dept. would not be smoooth. At move in my apartment was not clean but I overlooked it as I would be conducting a thorough cleaning myself. I later found minor (but to much for me) pest control issues, dishwasher lines not connectd and other minor things. I don't like to make a hassle over every little thing so must matters wer taken care by myself. But when more serious issues arose I found myself waiting, & waiting for response and most times it was substandard. "This" was taken care of but "that" wasn't. I like most don't have time to persistantly place calls to follow up on poor work. So I would just forget about it and accept the fact that they "just will not get it". I'm not so upset to move becuase I absolutely adore my location , my interior isn't the best and have had better..... but I like where I live as long as I'm respected as a resident, for I sometimes think that it just isn't there due to the mixed income groups here and the associated stereotypes. There are rental programs here for all.. there is full rent( imagine mortgage rates for an apartment), a program that goes by income as well and a "tax credit program" that allows the management to get a tax break for allowing a certain amount of units to be affordable to those with low to moderate incomes. Thus creating affordable rents, I personally pay in the $800-$900 range.. I must say I am one who participates in the tax credit program, I am a working parent who makes a great living.. I am a professional and must say this program enables me to have a nice place in a part of town thatt I am so fond of at a rate taht I can afford.I just would like to feel like the quality of service received isn't diminshed based on this fact.

I can agree with you on some things in this review...although I must say so far as your issues with maintenace I have not had the same experiences...they have always been prompt at responding to my work orders...and I must say when I moved into my apartment i was impressed at how clean everything was and all of the minor things that were wrong with the apartment prior to me moving in had been fixed.. Honestly I think that had to do with the leasing agent who leased me the apartment...who unfortunately is no longer here...but he took the time to look at severeal apartments before showing me the one he thought would be best for me...he was honest in telling me that some of the apartments were in better shape than others....I do believe that whoever lived in this unit prior to me took very good care of it...because I have even heard from other residents that my unit looks better than most. Like you...I love this location!!! So I put up with the things that as you said come along with living in a mixed community. Myself personally am one of the residents who pays mortgage comparible payments for rent my rent is $800 and I just have a 1 bedroom!! lol....I wasn't approved for the income based apartments...which got me because I didn't think I made that much money!!! I would say that some of the things that honestly do bother me about living here is the residents who do not work..and it is clear when you see them home all the time and not only that..sometimes hanging around as you would see in the "projects"...some of them still have that mentality and it shows even in the way that care for the property...at times the security poles to get in the parking lot have been torn off by someone obviously drive through..I have notice little being thrown around my building..by people who live here!!!! Which I find insane that you would want to deface your own community! however i also notice that they do have people who daily go around picking up trash..and even have been suprised at how fast the poles when they have been knocked down are replaced. the one thing that is holding me here is the location... i love it...and honestly i think this is a nice looking community..... this is my second year here...i think this may be my last year ..only because my rent being so high for a 1 bedroom at this point...i really just need to buy a home....anyways....get back to me if you like in response to some of my comments...i don't know many of my neighbors here so it's interesting to hear your comments ...
