I was a resident at Centennial for a couple of years and this is my last month. Thank GOD.. I had an incident on 5-21-09 and it was their maintenance department stealing from my apartment while doing a routine inspection.. THIS PLACE HAS WAY TOOO MANY INSPECTIONS. SO HIDE YOUR VALUEBALE BECUASE THE MAINTAINENCE DEPT. WILL STEAL YOUR STUFF. I REPEAT THE MAINTANENCE DEPT. WILL STEAL YOUR PERSONAL ITEMS, WHEN THEY ENTER YOUR HOME, AND NOTHING WILL BE DONE ABOUT IT..
I even reported it even though its my last month, and I don t think any discipline was taken. So current residents and new residents Please don t be afraid to report this type of activity.. I HAVENT GOTTEN ANY RESPONSE BACK, OR FOLLOW UP. ITS LIKE "OH OKAY, ITS OK FOR MAINTANENCE TO STEAL"... I would advise no one to let maintenance go into their apartments when they are not home. ALSO The MGMT. don t take these matters seriously, IM sure this employee is still employed and Stealing from your house as we speak.. I WOIULD TRY TO FIGHT THIS WITH COPORATE, BUT WHOSE GOING TO GIVE ME THE STOLEN ITEM AS WELL AS MY $100 BILL TAKEN.... sucks... So beware, it would be different if someone tried to address my concern and try to figure out how to get my money back to me, but NO. SO it is what it is.... If you want to know more, do your research, I reported it the following day and it happened on 5-21-09...

THESE TWO WERE CAUGHT WITH WEED ON THEM AND NOTHING ELSE WAS DONE TO THEM NOT EVEN ABOUT THEM THREATENING TO JUMP ME WHILE I WAS RIDING MY WHEELCHAIR AROUND. Mr. Rodney D. Carter; COPDNW Block Captain Centennial Place II 253 Pine St NW Atlanta, Georgia 30313-2034 Wednesday, August 19, 2009 Ms. Mary Jackson Property Manager Centennial Place Management 526 Centennial Olympic Park Drive Atlanta, Georgia 30313 Dear Ms. Jackson: On 7-18-2009 @11:45pm I was checking my parking lot again before I went into my apartment (253 Pine) to fix me a sandwich before I came back out to do one last run around the complex before I called it a night. When I was noting the outages in bldg 200-216 Merritts I noticed to young men hanging around my dumpster area (Jermaine Cheeks and his live in cousin? Robinson) talking on their cell phones I mentioned to them in a nice tone that WE have a curfew in downtown and this complex. Jermaine Cheeks responded, ????Damn that, I am 19 yrs old.???? My response was, ????I didn????t ask how old you were young man. I said WE have a curfew.???? Then his live in cousin ? Robinson stated, ????---- that, I am 21 yrs old.???? Then both of them started to walk away. Both times I asked those two young men not to curse me then they both stated, ????Old man, ---- you and leave us alone before we knock your old ass out of that wheelchair and beat you down.???? I turned my chair towards them moving it slowly asking them to repeat themselves so I can clarify the threats but they kept walking away saying, ????---- your old nosey ass and leave us alone.???? I followed them as they continued to walk out of the building on the corner of McAffee and Merritts across the street from where they live in 619 McAffee (At first I didn????t know of their residence until after they were apprehended about 15 minutes later by COPD Officer Gaston and Iron Protective Services Officer Dingle. As they proceeded through the breezeway across from where the both of them lives they turned and noticed I have unbuckled myself from my wheelchair and stand up moving towards them. I heard them both shout, ????Oh ---- he can walk!???? Then they both started running for the front entrance of the building across from where they lived. Stumbling over each other they made it out of the building looking back at me doing a ????Jason Vorhees???? on them. I witnessed both run into their building with Jermaine running to the back of the breezeway and his cousin making it up to the 3rd floor looking out to see if I am coming. Both of them met up in the parking lot behind their building where they hid very well because when Officer Gaston and the security officer showed up Officer Dingle was coming through the breezeway not even five minutes after the perps went through he was alone and said he didn????t see anyone in the parking lot. Officer Gaston and security got in Officer Gaston????s vehicle to circle the block but while I stayed outside the building I noticed the two young men peeking out from some bushes. I yelled out to Officer Gaston and security and Officer Gaston let security out of the vehicle to go back into the parking lot and Officer Gaston backed up and went back to the entrance on Pine for the parking lot of 619 McAffee. After 10 minutes Officer came for me still standing on the curb so I can see the perps up close and identify them both, but before we proceeded to the young men he knocked on 619 McAffee to speak to the parent (s) of either of the two young men from the information he had collected from them. Ms. Cheeks answered the door and ask could she get dressed then she will meet the officers and me in the parking lot. During a pat down from COPD Officer Gaston I watched him pull a sack of Marijuana from Jermaine Cheeks pocket and the young man tried to claim Officer Gaston placed it inside his pockets trying to set him but when it was brought to Jermaine Cheek????s mother when she arrived in the parking lot the young didn????t deny it wasn????t his WEED; and that they hadn????t threatened me and cursed me out. They young men said I was following them as they were trying to make it home and cursed me because they didn????t know who I was. Even thought I didn????t agree with those young men being released to their guardian it was not decision to lock them up that night. I despise drugs and ill-mannered disrespectful children. When I was growing up my mother and my grandparents had us believing they had the whole neighborhood watching us and it the three of them thought we did something they would make up a story just to frighten us into telling it really how it happened; they also said Mr. or Mrs. So-In-So called and said we did this just to get us to tell it really like it was. ???? On this day of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ this statement is true to the best of my knowledge and because we are in a period of Disposition I place my hand on the NEW TESTAMENT of my bible and swear that no false information is contained therein.
