A nice place to live if you don't mind dealing with inexperienced management...

I moved into this complex last summer and thought everything was great. The apartments were new and nice looking, the grounds were beautiful, and the staff was wonderful to work with. There were a few gliches that needed to be worked out initially as with any new complex, but the managers at that time were more than willing to satisfy renters anyway that they could. Shortly after the old managers Rasheed and Mae left, new people kept coming in that didn't seem genuine at all. They would ignore you when you came in, especially if they were "courting" potential tenants. No one wanted to greet you to let you know they would be right with you. They would let you stand around for 10 minutes or more while they chatted on the phones or with each other.
Since then, a new company bought out the community and the change in management definitely shows! No one is ever available when you call. If you come into the office staff members generally look at you like you have just barged into their homes--unannounced. No one seems personable like it was when I first moved in. The atmosphere was totally different in the beginning. Then, I was actually treated like I was important because I was a part of the community. Now, it's more like "you're already leasing with us, so leave the check in the drop box and GO AWAY!"
There have been a few issues with security also. First, the computers in the secure clubhouse were stolen! Then someone's motorcycle got stolen out of our gated community! The last thing I remembered was someone else's rims and tires were stolen off of the car in the parking lot...supposedly right in front of the person's apartment.
I don't know what will become of these apartments, but I hope they restore the better reputation that they started out with. If not, they may need to lower their prices to attract future business or folks will start moving out.

There was one computer stolen from the clubhouse. For all I know by a resident. There are two security officers who try hard to keep the community safe and I have seen them in action a couple of times. All communities gated or not have some trouble and this one of course is no excpetion. There wont be any community that is 100% crime free. I have lived in plenty and I havent found one yet.
