I chose the Heights because they were a brand new luxury apartment complex, but little did I know I would soon regret my decision to move from my lovely apartment at Archstone at Briarcliff. The management at the Heights changed over at least two times while I was there for a little over a year, and the staff was incompetent and unhelpful. I attempted to give the staff the benefit of the doubt, but after learning the manager was fired for incompetence I knew my first impression was correct. Furthermore, the polyester carpeting they boast for being Berber is so cheap made of awful quality that any slight wear and tear will incur you a fee of a full carpet replacement!!! I suggest anyone interested in a nice apartment in this area look at the Archstone Communities nearby. Additionally, Archstone is currently building a new complex on the other end of the access road nearing Clairmont. Just wait DONT MOVE HERE!!!! Aside from the cheap carpet and incompetent staff, the apartment was very cheaply made. I could hear the conversations and even the ALARM CLOCK from the apartment next door. The windows leaked and everything in my bathroom began falling apart....literally. Also, I heard about numerous break-ins and unsafe incidents that you would not expect from a gated community....The rent is tooooooo expensive for the type of living environment you receive here. The new management company taking over later this month really needs to take a good look at this property and figure out a way to totally revamp the appearance, quality, and staff.

Well I don't work for Archstone but I have lived here for almost a year and I completely agree with the writer. The carpet is hardly what they claim it to be and I could hear every move my upstairs neighbor made, from walking to talking on the telephone and closing doors. I had such an awful experience, my neighbor also smoked marijuana in the bathroom on a regular basis and I reported it several times and nothing was done!
