Where do I begin with my issues with "The Heights"' Well let me begin by saying that when I signed my lease The Heights was with a different managment company and things were not nearly as bad as they are now! Several months into my lease I got a letter stating that LEDIC was taking over the complex. First of all I was floored that all I recieved was a letter. I did not sign a lease with LEDIC and was not happy to find out that I had no choice as to whether or not I wanted to maintain my lease under the new manangement. Needless to say I had no chooice in the matter so I remained at the complex, only two months after LEDIC took over I began to realize a trend in the way they positioned residents. When I first moved in there was a colorful array of people in every building; since LEDIC took over I realized that all of the Caucasian residents are grouped into the same building where they seem pretty content! All of the ------- American and other minority residents apear to be grouped into all the other buildings. I am very upset that it seems as if the residents ae being grouped together by color. I have not seen a resient of a different color than me in my building since the new managemet took over. On top of the segregated living quarters the manangement team refuses to respond to complaints and problems. I have had several things to break in my home and they have yet to be fixed! I have personally called Dale and left messages with complaints and have never recieved a call back. The management flat out does not care about the quality of living here, maybe that is because most of them reside outside of The Heights! The buldings are attractive from the outside but after moving in I quickly realized that it is built very poorly and you can hear each and every move that your neighbor makes. I have had no peace a nd quiet since I moved here. The gates are supposed to be here for added security yet people easily tailgate in and the gates have been broken several times since I have lived here. I had three friends who lived here in the past and all of them chose not to renew their lease and I am doing the same! Good luck to anyone who risks their happiness to live here, I would never recommend this place.

You are crazy if you think the place is segregated. Even so, I have no problem with living with people of my own race. Is there some kind of problem living with the people of your race?

There is no problem with living with people of your own race, the issue is that no one should make the decision that all people of the same race should be living in the same building. Martin Luther King as well as many other respected Afrian American Freedom Fighters worked very hard for us all to live together and not be seperated......maybe you need to read the posting again to understand the point that was being made you are clearly confused and offended as if it was about you. Read your history and then you may understand where it was coming from!
