Ok for the positive reasons I moved in:
1. Love the location
2. Spacious Apartment
3. I like cooking with a gas stove, most apt have only electric cooking
4. Big garden tub
5. Parking garage for my car
Reasons why I moved out:
1. several maintenance issues that took forever for anyone to come fix, and when and if they did come out, they never really got fixed
2. heater/ac was ALWAYS screwed up. Whenever I turned it on, it just kept running, never would shut off unless I flipped the breaker switch. They came out a few times and said they "fixed" it, but it never was. This caused my electric and gas bills to be high when i used it, yet management said it wasn't their problem.
3. toilets were always screwed up, would stop up and overflow all the time
4. 2 electric outlets in kitchen stopped working yet they never fixed them although i asked several times
5. horrible problems with those big ---- roach/palmetto bugs in the apartment and running down the hallways
6. had a rat run in front of me one night in the parking garage and scared the hell out of me
7. I had 2 assigned parking spots, then when new mgmt took over, they decided that nobody was allowed assigned spots anymore
8. neighbors above me were always loud
9. the coutesy officer actually knocked on my door one night at 8pm and said there had been a noise complaint about my apartment. I was home alone, quietly watching tv and doing laundry, he was even confused as he peeked in and said "it's so quiet in here you could hear a church mouse". So why the heck was someone complaining about ME when there are plenty of loud neighbors'''
10. I was in building 2 and agree with previous comments about trash in the trees... nobody ever bothered to remove the trash.
11. someone followed another car through the "security" gate in Jan 2006, loaded a guy's motorcycle from the parking garage into their pickup truck and then drove off with it. How is THAT for security'
12. When I moved in, management asked me to pay 1st and last month's rent with casghier's checks.. which I did. Jan 2006 was my last month and Jan 15th management knocked on my door asking why I hadn't paid rent. I told them I already paid them for my last month when I moved in and they said they knew nothing about that since they were the "new" management company. They said they would look into it and call me if they couldn't find it and that I would need to provide proof of the cashier's check I gave them. Well, they never called me. Instead, I found an "eviction warrant" tacked to my front door a week later, saying that I had refused to vacate the premises, and that I owe them January rent of $900 PLUS $795 in court costs, late fees and $350 in charges for what the apartment "could" rent for!!!! You have GOT to be freakin kidding me'''!'!'!'!'!'!
So now I have to deal with that over the next few days as I am in the process of moving out. What idiots. Run, this place is NOT worth the headache at all!!!!!

I worked in this office for a short time with the new management company to help out and quite frankly this is a rare case. The previous managemtent company required a security deposit for this person and gave her the impression that it will go towards last months rent (that was never proven by either party and if it was it would have been applied) which is not what a deposit is for. A deposit goes towards any damages or cleaning fees once the apartment has been turned over to us. And should there be none of the above then the deposit is completely refunded. As for the maintenance that was mentioned, it's quite funny how we never receive maintenance complaints until someone gets upset about something and then it all comes out. I never understood that because in the short time that I worked here we never once received a phone call for this apartment otherwise we would have taken care of the issues. We are not inhumane by any means. I noticed this comment on another review and it seems the same thing is happening, someone was upset over a neighbor and started listing several issues with the apartment and management company. I do not work at this property anymore because I transferred to a property closer to home and know that the issues these residents are complaining about were either A)never addressed or B)not entirely true. Ususally when a person is complained on it is legitimate however mistakes can be made, but also you have to remember that sometimes people do not realize how loud they are really being. Being above someone you may not be aware of what they can hear as opposed to what you think they can hear. Being in an apartment no matter how old/new/occupied/or whatever the quality you are still going to hear your neighbors in some way. Being in the apartment industry for as long as I have you know that no matter where you go, unless you are in a house, you will hear your neighbors. Townhomes are like that as well because they are built right on top of each other. I feel sorry for certain people who are unaware of what living in an apartment home is like. I have advise for anyone reading this site. If you pay for an apartment almost as much as some house payments and expect to not hear anything then buy a house. That is the only way you are going to have complete silence! I also do not think it is fair to the new manager and staff because they are very helpful and if they cannot help they are always getting help. No property is perfect. I also wanted to comment on the gate. Gates are not called SECURITY gates because apartment NEVER guaratantees saftey!!! These gates are to help prevent traffic flow from people who are not guests nor residents. They are not for security purposes as some people assume. It is an unfortunate thing that happened to a good property, but noone can prevent that no matter where you live. I know of some properties that have had breakins, murders, rapes, and even vandalism. These days you never know what could happen and I can say that besides the breakin to the parking garage this property is clear of anything else! Security is something that everyone tries to keep, but even the most secure houses in the world can be robbed. It is not the apartment community it is what the world is becoming! I enjoyed working with the current staff and know what goes on in that office and they are always giving the most respect for the residents and I know that this property will be great when they can get a good handle on leftovers |

BS - I lived there a year ago and have to agree with all the negative ads. There is no record of the complaints because to inept office staff couldn't use a pen!
