I have lived at Charleston Court for almost 2 years now. Overall, I have had a good experience. The location is great, the exterior looks good for the most part (however the elevators are almost always SMELLY and DISGUSTING), but the staff in the leasing office now is friendly and great (especially compared to the last management company).

As far as major problems, we have had multiple cars stolen/broken into and units broken into, however the majority of these problems happened between November and December of this past year. The incidents of apartments being broken into all happened during the day (and while repairs were being made on the exterior wood of the buildings and balconies, coincedence', I, personally, don't think so...), however all of the cars stolen/broken into happened late at night. Since the repairs have been completed, the only problem we have been notified of was from a resident whose apartment was broken into and they admitted they left the sliding door to the balcony unlocked and think it was someone they know that broke in.

As far as minor maintenance problems, the maintenance staff is SIGNIFICANTLY better than the last couple of management companies, but you still might have to follow up on some requests (fyi, never leave a voicemail maintenance request, ALWAYS speak to someone IN PERSON).

The walls are definitly thin and if you have a noisy neighbor it can be annoying, but that is something you have to expect living in an apartment and there is nothing management can really do about it (fyi- if you live on the top floor like me it really isn't that bad)

As far as parking, I have a spot in the parking deck, which is permit parking only and no longer assigned spots, where the problem isn't finding a spot, but more of non-permit people parking in the "good" spots and nothing being done about it (they are supposed to be towed if there is no permit).

Overall, Charleston Court is a good place to live and is in a great location.

There are no permits to park in the garage, I asked the staff the other day to verify...just an FYI
