In the time I have lived here all of the community features that they emphasize when the lease is signed have gone away. The car wash is no longer available. The BBQ grill in the pool area has been non-functional all summer (since Memorial Day). The workout room was non-accessible for over 3 months. The office security alarm goes off atleast once a month, normally in the middle of the day on the weekend or 6:00 am. They make blowing leaves in the parking lot a priority in the middle of the summer when there are no leaves to blow. The guys that do the "blowing" generally just walk around, blowers in hand all day. It is extremely loud and makes accomplishing any work inside your apartment impossible.


In addition to the blower noise, dogs bark loudly and repeatedly all day and night. You can hear the dogs even if they are inside their apt. These places are cheaply constructed and you can hear everything that goes on in the parking lot.

One night, while enjoying an evening in my apt, we were startled by a loud crash. It turns out it was a resident of these apts who was drunk and crashed into a parked car. The car, which belonged to another resident was completely totalled. The drunk resident passed out in his car until the police came to arrest him.

The police have been present in this complex atleast once a month for the past 6 months. They normally show up with atleast 4 cars, so it can be inferred that they are not just doing a routine check on the property.

My remote to the "gated entrance" has broken atleast 3 times, they normally just look confused when I bring it in to have it fixed. I have wasted atleast an hour of my life sitting in the office trying to get this fixed.

The power has gone out monthly for the past 2 years. From a former resident, I understand that this has been going on for atleast the past 5 years. I didn't have cable internet for the first 6 months in the apt- due to faulty cable wiring. Chastain Terrace contracts with Comcast, so that is the only source of cable available. The apt office did nothing but tell me that "we don't do cable", when I asked for their assistance.

At dinner time on a Saturday evening a maintenance man knocked on my door screaming that there was a leak. He inspected everything, then left. 10 minutes later he came back to inspect everything again. He then told me we wouldn't have water for the next 4 hours and that he would have to fix the water heater.

------- responds to the reviews on here, but doesn't really care. She will give lip service with a smile, but doesn't actually respond to or resolve the problems. ---- has attempted to be helpful, but is not empowered by ------- or Greystar to actually solve any problems or make any decisions on his own. Everything has to go through -------. He just gets stuck in the middle of the problems. The general office people don't know how to do anything because they only stay for about a month each.

Save yourself time, stress and sanity, don't live here. It's not worth it.
