When we first moved in, the biggest thing we were concerned with was having a roof that didn't leak, a frequent problem in the previous places we lived. Therefore, the only positive thing I can say about the apartment is that the roof didn't ever leak.
Parking was a hassle because the other people who lived there did not believe in common decency and would block people in or park on the sidewalks. If you need to park on Thursday thru Saturday nights, forget it. There are many raucous parties going on...and no one ever carpooled. The place was very noisy at those times, too. It also wasn't out of the ordinary to find random drunk people urinating in the woods adjacent to out unit.
The place also wasn't particularly secure, either. Our roommate had her car broken into, other people near the front of the complex had their apartments broken into. Yuck.
The apartments had many maintenance issues, i.e. gutters falling off the roofs, cable junction boxes all splayed open so everyone in the building could steal cable, and ant infestations which the mgt refused to acknowledge. Inside, the apartments weren't much better. The upstairs subfloors were rotten, resulting in many soft spots in the floor. Same goes for the interior stairs. The apartment-standard flat white paint was excessively thick and covered everything, including the once nice wood trim in the townhouse. The ceiling in the laundry room was caving in.
Central mail delivery really sucked, too.
Do your research. There are other places near there for about the same price that are much better quality-wise. I wish I had.
In case any of you former Collier Ridge alumni remember where it is, I lived in 1805.
