Damn. I mean, we moved in with such promise and hope in our lives. At the end of college--This place had huge floorplans, relatively cheap prices.
Well, the first thing we noticed is that the speed bumps are so huge and frequent that you have to putt around at like 2 mph the whole way to and from your place, which for us was like a mile from the apt entrance. The apartment itself has paper-thin walls. You can hear everything that is going on in every room, even things like your roomates making out quietly. One of my roomates was horsing around one time and fell into the wall and it broke. Not good. Also, these bastards cut off the water 3 or 4 times, and each time it was off for more than a day. They also switched our gas company without telling us. The new company, Infinite Energy may have had a low gas rate but they charged 20 bucks in up-front fees every month, but that is another story all together. There was NEVER any parking, and therefore people just parked all over the curbs and everything, which sucks. We also had an invasion of rolly-pollies, which really sucks. Our gas heater died during the winter usually about once every three weeks. The pilot light wouldn't stay on, and the most they ever did was re-light it for us as if I can't just strike a match myself. They should have fixed the thing.
We recently moved out, and let me assure you, Collier Ridge will rip you a new A-Hole if you aren't careful here. First, we left a working washer and dryer behind because we all had one at our new places. Well, Collier Ridge charged us 300 dollars for this even though it is an upgrade to thier apartment! The people living there now had to pay extra because of them! But worst of all they are jabbing us in the ass with a rediculous 1400 fee for no written letter of intent to leave. The reason this is ludicrous is that they called us 2 months prior and we told them on the phone that we were leaving and at the time they said that's all they needed to know. They even have it written down that they called and we said that. Add on top of it all that they filled the apartment 3 days after we left, and you can see that they are running a pure scam here. It is going on our credit and we will probably have to fight it in small claims court! DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU.
