Wouldn't do it again...

I moved in because I was broke and living in an unsafe area. Great price, but didn't feel too much safer. Not a day went by that I wasn't harassed by some guy in the lobby or hallway or even the elevator. It also seemed like all the white folks were too scared to come out at night because I swear I'd see lots during the day, but not a single one (besides myself and the old folks that have lived there since the dawn of time) at night. I had the loudest neighbor in the world and he would only get louder if I'd ask him to keep it down a little. I was a full time student and could never study at home because it was just too damn loud. I became more than sick of hearing ghetto ass music blaring through my walls in every direction. Aside from the rude people and sexual harassment, there's the fact that the card entry system that's there to "keep us safe" worked for about a week out of the year I lived there. The stories of cars being broken into, people being robbed at gun point, and someone getting killed in their apartment were enough to keep me on edge every moment I was outside of my apartment. I grew up in the ghetto and certainly didn't expect to find it in Buckhead, but low and behold welcome to The Darlington!! I didn't mind the cramped space or the tiny kitchen or even the fact that the heat was turned on when it was still 70 degrees outside and I had absolutely no way to adjust the temperature, but the people and the noise were enough to chase me away and make me want to break my lease. And don't get me started on the laundry room!!!!! Best advice I can give you is to save up your money and move somewhere better. It just isn't worth it!
