I have lived at the Darlington for a year, and you can't beat the price considering you live in the middle of Buckhead and have a number of great restaurants and attractions walking distance from your home. Not to mention all of you utilities are included, and it directly on Marta.

The staff is nice, they will work with you on mostly anything, but this building is 50 years old, so it is run down and you must stay on top of the office if you want things fixed. They are greata about fixing things the same day, but its not going to get fixed if you don't ask.

The people in the building are an interesting mix, you have students, professioanls, seniors who have lived there since the building opened, and a some low income people as well.

You also have some great building amentites like the shoe repair, cleaners/alterations and the grocery store is VERY convinient, when you need a quick soda or something. Don't eat at the internet cafe, with the exception of desserts the food is overpriced, and not that great. You can go to the store and make a better sandwich in your apartment.

The worst thing about the Darlington is the parking situation, they could easily repave the parkinglots and make them less narrow, but they haven't. The parking slots are shaped hideously, and people can be quite carless with how they park their cars, I've recieved numerous scratches and dents. Also, they have this new policy of taping a sign to your car when you park somewhere you shouldn't. The night staff is in charge of this, and they basically only do it to people they don't like. Also, people will park their cars and block the lanes of flow in the lot, and they won't tow them or anything, just tape those damn signs to the windshield.

The walls are thin so if you have a nosiy neighbor you will hear them. I reccomend livign on the top floors if you can they genreally less noisy.
