I lived there 5 years from 1998 to 2003.
Darlington used to be a nice place but has gone downhill fast in the last few years.
The pros are it's right in the middle of everything, very cheap, and you can get an incredible view of the city if you are lucky.
The cons are: very dusty building, toxic mold infested the ceiling of unit 723, blasting rap music, unemployed crack dealers and hustlers and all their out of town unemployed relatives loiter around, constant harrassment of women, break-ins of cars and storage units, peachtree road is a freeway on weekends with hundreds of speeding SUV's blasting loud music.
Could be worth a try for 6 months if you are a guy and not worried about all the thugs and players. Otherwise, was a very nice place a few years ago but they let anyone in now.
Also, they refuse to provide security cameras that record.
Management is very helpful and professional.

Every unemployed black man is not a thug, drug dealer or hustler. I am a full time student and have lots of time to hang out in the building with friends. I've never even take drugs, but because I dress urban and listen to rap you might thing me a drug dealer or a thug.

I never said "black man" in my post. And yes, there was dozens of unemployed hustlers and dealers hanging around. In fact, they had to hire a full time cop/deputy and ban people from sitting out front because there was a drive up crack operation going on. I am here to post a honest opinion of the place so people can make an informed decision and not be scared to leave their apartment after dark.
