Though the management staff at the Darlington rocks and the maintenance team is always on the ball, I would never refer this community to anyone. I am on constant pins & needles when I am leaving or entering the apartment because the tennants make me nervous. I have been harrassed on a constant basis by people in the hallways and in the parking lot which only has adequate, at best, lighting with out any sort of security. I have had people knock on my door at obscene hours of the night. (This has happened on numerous occassions!) I am always afraid that someone is going to break into my apartment when I leave. The hallway always smells like marijuana which leaks into your apartment. The vent shafts look like they have never been cleaned. They just replaced all of the toilets in the building's apartments with these massive toilets that do not stand up straight. You are right about the weed smoke. I think that this is a more appropriate place for younger people, probably guys would be more comfortable. I can see women feeling very uncomfortable.

I WAS STAYING WITH MY DAUGHTER FOR SEVERAL DAYS AT THE DARLINGTON APTS. RECENTLY, AND I HAD MY GRANDDAUGHTER WITH ME IN THE LOBBY ONE EVENING. SHE DECIDED TO SIT DOWN IN THE LOBBY FOR AWHILE AND READ HER LIBRARY BOOK. ABOUT HALF AN HOUR LATER, SHE COMES UP TO THE APT. AND TELLS ME THAT SOME MAN ASKED HER HOW OLD WAS SHE AND SHE TOLD HIM HER AGE. THAT NIGHT I PACKED OUR BAGS AND MOVED INTO A HOTEL. I DIDNT APPRECIATE HIM ASKING HE AGE. SHE IS 13 YEARS OLD.!!!! WHAT KIND OF HOTEL ARE THEY RUNNING THERE? TWO WEEKS LATER, I MOVED MY DAUGHTER OUT OF THAT BUILDING. THANK GOD HER LEASE WAS UP.
