I have lived here for about 8 months and I find this place to be GREAT for the price and location. Sure, it is an older community, but you can't tell that from the insides, as everything has been updated or remodeled. Jaren, the girl in the office is always very nice to me and has even offered to stay later to accomodate me picking up a package. It is SOOOOO quiet here at night that it almost creeps me out. I am a single woman who comes home at all hours of the night, and I never feel scared. As far as maintenance, I have never had a problem. The few items I have called in have been fixed the next day. Once I had a water leak that was not fixed the first time, but they got it repaired within a few days. There are a lot of young professionals here, I don't think I have ever seen a single child here.Sometimes I hear my neighbors walking, but not loud. I have NEVER heard anyone talking through the vents. I have become 'friendly' with most of my neighbors and the only time I hear them is when they are in the hall, and people don't 'hang out' in the breezeways here like I have seen at other communities. As a matter of fact, I never see ANYONE hanging out anywhere, just coming and going from their cars. if you are looking for something new and fancy on the outside, don;t move here. However if you want a GREAT location, a BIG apartment at a reasonable price, with a QUIET neighborhood, then Defoors will suit you just fine. Do not judge this place by the outside, you HAVE to see the renovations on the inside. Just one opinion, but I think the truest one.

This person must not have any neighbors or the leasing agent wrote this comment. Still loud, still noisy, electric bill has come down considerably to $145 monthly. Trust me, DO NOT MOVE IN THE 1987 BUILDING!!!!!!

Some people are just miserable and have nothing better to do with their time than to spread their anger and angst via posts like this. I like it here.
