I lived here for 1 1/2 years, and it seemed like the office staff changed every week or so. I never knew who I would be dealing with, and sometimes I would have extensive dealings w/ one staff member, and a week later have to deal w/ someone else about the same thing because the first person was gone. They also lost my rent check once, and put a notice on my door threatening eviction. They also forgot to have me sign several leasing documents, and they kept calling me in to sign stuff for at least the first two months I lived there, each time saying, "This is the last one." Yeah, right. (The people in the office were never great, they were never mental giants, nor was the maintenance man.) Also, when I moved in, they told me there was a nighttime security officer on grounds, but I never saw him. All of that said, I didn't mind living there. Yes, the office staff got on my nerves like crazy, but I felt safe, even at night. I never heard of any break-ins or burglaries on the property. And the actual apartment wasn't bad - the bathroom was big and spacious, there wasn't a bug problem, there were no strange smells, there was a walk-in closet, and I never had any structural problems. My only issue is that the kitchen was a bit small. Aside from that, there were no noisy parties or "thug life" hanging out, and the property was generally clean.
So, go ahead and move in. My only word of advice, though, is to get a receipt each time you pay your rent. Also, since you never know who will be in the office and who you'll be dealing with, get everything in writing.
