Yo!

Its not as bad as they say...

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004

We have lived there for 8 months and our experience has been better than some and worse than others. The bills are not outrageous (except for the rent). I know its a good location, but believe me when I say you pay for it. Here is the skinny..

Good:
Noise Level - almost none due to good construction.
Grounds - well kept landscape and little pet droppings.
Maintenance - quick to respond and usually fix it on the first time.
Apartment - It is a large 2 bedroom and is laid out pretty well. LOTS of closet space. Excellent for a girl. Also has nice features like arched doorways and good looking fixtures.
Tennants - We have never really had a problem with neighbors, one complained about our dog barking at 10 am but the staff just told us not to worry about it.

Moderate:
The Office Staff - We have had both good and bad experiences with them. When Jeff was the manager he was great, took time to listen to your problems and solve them in the most efficeint way possible. I don't know the new guy, but the staff has changed a lot and often since the buyout.

Bad:
DON'T BREAK THE RULES!! YOU WILL PAY!!
Fees - We left our trash out overnight and past 10 am and we got a fine for $25. If we didn't pay it, they wouldn't accept our rent.
And don't be late on rent, I mean it is due on the 3rd and no later.
Grills - If you like to grill, don't move here. Not only can you not have them on your porch (Fulton County law) but they have NONE on the property. To lazy to get the insurance I would assume.
Parking - As long as you don't make a late night run to the grocery store you are fine; but if you do, get ready to walk.
Water - It is Fulton County and considered Atlanta so it is about 20 - 30 a month for 2 of us. Not completely the apt's fault, blame the Atlanta gov't.
And most importantly RENT - We should NOT be paying as much as we are. It is very nice but they are charging about 10% too much. Our rent rivals a mortgage payment.

Before you move, READ THE LEASE COMPLETELY, just know what you are getting into. If you are willing to live by the rules then I recommend it, if not, find another complex.
