I could go and repeat what people said but I'll add my different twist to this.

The gates are always broken. When they do get fixed, people still ruin the gates by running into them or one day you find that your gate key doesn't work.

I came home one day and found my building and several around me surrounded by police. Apparently, from what I heard, suspects from a foiled car burglary lived here. Plus, the back gate was blocked by the police.

It's been 4 months after I moved out and I finally got my deposit. (after going back 5 times and making countless number of phone calls)

People have no mannerism when it comes to living together in apartments. When you take out the trash, it does not mean just dumping the garbage in the grass area next to the building. Garbage gets dumped everywhere and the maintanence people have to pick it up.

If you live in a one bedroom/one bath, you have to share a coin washer/dryer. Alot of them are run down and do not work.

If you can afford to spend a little more money every month, find another place that offers a better deal. I'm sure there are many apartments like this but at least you know what you get yourself into.

BTW, don't let the nice looks of the apartments fool you. It is a low income apartment with low income people. Generally, don't expect people to treat you with respect there.

I moved out as soon as I finished my 1 year lease.
